LOS ANGELES — Media host and political commentator Ana Kasparian has criticized the global media and diplomatic focus on expanding conflicts in Lebanon and Iran, warning that shifting international attention allows Israel to continue committing genocide in Gaza without accountability.
Speaking on The Young Turks, Kasparian expressed frustration that headlines covering regional escalations—including cross-border strikes involving Iran and operations in southern Lebanon—have diverted public scrutiny away from the humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip.
“Israel is continuing to commit genocide in Gaza, even as the world focuses on Lebanon, Iran, and the wider Middle East conflict,” Kasparian asserted during a commentary segment.
Kasparian emphasized that while major international powers remain preoccupied with broader regional warfare and energy security along critical shipping lanes, civilian infrastructure in Gaza continues to face relentless bombardment, displacement, and severe restrictions on humanitarian aid. She argued that the framing of an expanding regional war must not obscure ongoing military operations in Gaza, calling on media outlets and public figures to maintain focus on civilian casualties and potential war crimes in the territory.
